Liverpool wedding photography at Knowsley Hall
We are delighted to share a collection of images from Steve and Stephen’s civil partnership at Knowsley Hall. It was a our first civil partnership and also our first time at Knowsley Hall. When I first met the guys, they told me that originally, they were not going to have a photographer at all. It turned out that they had decided to consider a photographer after one of Stephen’s colleagues had suggested us after we had shot his son’s wedding last year. He told the guys about the documentary and unobtrusive nature of our photography. I met up with them around a month before the day and they felt that a documentary approach was exactly what they were looking for.
They wanted a total documentary approach with only a couple of formal shots….this was great, exactly what we love to do and, for us, simply the best way to record an authentic and true story of the day.
It was exciting to shoot Knowsley Hall wedding photography for the first time too, a really breathtaking venue with stunning rooms, fabulous views, plenty of space for the guests to mingle and also brilliant staff! In fact, it was a good job I arrived early as it gave me the opportunity to look around some of the spectacular artwork that it there, a real treat for me!
A surprise came when the band for the evening, 80s Revive were setting up. I thought I recognised a couple of the guys but wasn’t quite sure…a few minutes later, one of them came over…we had shot his wedding a couple of years ago! We had a great time catching up and they really did put on a brilliant set!
